Xe que Xaranga Alginet is a ten-piece Valencian street band made up of professional musicians with xaranga experience. Its live music accompanies processions and celebrations, with a broad repertoire for audiences of different ages.
The line-up includes percussion, trumpets, trombone, saxophones and clarinet. The band plays a range of styles and travels throughout the Valencian Community.
Formed on 10 March 2013, the group has played at Fallas parades, local festivals, stag and hen parties, birthday celebrations, Moors and Christians events and fairs. Its past engagements include the Fira d’Onda, as well as events in Miranda de Ebro and Vilanova i la Geltrú.
A xaranga brings mobile live music to town festivals, parades, private celebrations and community events. Its repertoire for all ages also suits birthdays and gatherings with mixed audiences.
