A street band formed in 2012 by professional and amateur musicians, performing at festivals and popular celebrations.
Xaranga Secos de los Montes provides live street music for public celebrations. The group was formed in 2012 by friends who wanted to add xaranga performances to their experience of concert bands, processions and street parades. They first played at their local festival, then began receiving invitations from nearby towns and events further afield.
This is a live band format suited to moving celebrations and public events. Its musicians bring experience from concert bands, processions and street parades, making the group a natural fit for festivities that call for music on the move.
The group has performed at hen and stag parties, patron saint festivals, Valencia’s Fallas, Murcia’s Entierro de la Sardina, Moors and Christians celebrations, and the wine races in Caravaca de la Cruz. Some of these appearances were at events recognised as being of national tourist interest.
Consider the band for town festivals, street parades and public celebrations looking for live music. It travels across Spain when the date and event arrangements allow, so ask about the specific occasion.
