A Benicarló street band featuring brass and percussion, with party favourites, charanga classics and more recent songs.
Xaranga Foli Fort is a street band that grew out of Benicarló’s Musical Association. Its musicians bring live music and a show to public occasions and celebrations where an upbeat, participative atmosphere is welcome.
The ensemble features two saxophones, one clarinet, two trumpets, two trombones, one French horn, one tuba and three percussionists. Together, these instruments create the sound of a traditional charanga, performed live to accompany the event.
The repertoire includes popular party songs, charanga standards and more recent tracks. This makes the band a fitting choice for local festivals and community celebrations, as well as other occasions looking for live music with a festive feel. Xaranga Foli Fort first appeared in 2017, shortly before the Fallas, and has continued to develop musically and as a group.
