Victoria Ash blends poetry and comedy in adaptable recitals, with the option to add a dancer or musician.
Victoria Ash is a poet and comedian whose performances bring poetry and comedy together in a distinctive live format. She has published three books: two poetry collections, including her latest with Espasa, and a book of short stories.
The performance can be adapted to suit the audience and the message of the occasion. It can also be presented as poetry alone, without the comic sections. A dancer, a musician or both can be added, creating a format that combines spoken word with other live performance elements.
Her work moves between poetry and comic monologue. Her stated influences include Dani Rovira, Agustín Jiménez, Elvira Sastre and Neruda. The repertoire information refers to two poetry books and a collection of 80 poems.
The recital may suit fashion and lifestyle events, corporate occasions and events connected with social causes, as well as gatherings where the content can be tailored to the audience. The basic technical requirement is a handheld microphone and speakers or an amplifier.
