Versus Five blend modern jazz, progressive rock, Latin, flamenco and electronic influences in an instrumental set with room to improvise.
Versus Five, also known as Vs5, is an instrumental project formed by five musicians: Víctor Traves, Carlos Navarrete, Pablo Barrios, David Llácer and Riki Palacios. The group brings together their different musical backgrounds in compositions with a clear structure and space for improvisation.
Their music draws on modern jazz, progressive rock, Latin styles, flamenco and electronic music. The result is a direct, powerful performance that lets these influences meet while the musicians shape the material through improvisation.
Versus Five are particularly suited to jazz and world music festivals, as well as other live music events. Their instrumental format offers festival programmers a set that crosses genres rather than staying within a single style.
