Venga Monjas bring their surreal, absurd comedy to the stage as a duo or with Miguel Noguera.
We are a booking agency for events, not the artist's team. We work with organisers: festivals, councils, companies, venues and weddings.
Venga Monjas is the comedy duo of Xavi Daura and Esteban Navarro. Their surreal, absurd and offbeat humour first took shape in homemade videos uploaded to YouTube in 2006. Their work later moved from the screen to theatres, bringing characters and scenes from their distinctive world to a live audience.
The pair have adapted their web series Da Suisa for the stage. It parodies well known The Simpsons episodes, recreated with live actors and a deliberately underground look. The theatre version combined onstage scenes with projected episodes. They currently perform HITS LIVE with comedian Miguel Noguera, mixing absurd comedy with internet born songs such as “Almendrero de Doraemon” and “Alien Fumeta”.
The performance draws on irreverent humour and material from their online creations. Their stage work includes shows by the duo as well as the joint production with Miguel Noguera; ask which format is available for your event.
They can suit comedy programmes, cultural events, theatres, festivals, private parties and corporate events looking for surreal live comedy. Their YouTube channel has around 46,000 followers.
