Theatrical storytelling, creative workshops and family activities featuring Los Verdegales, in Spanish or Valencian.
Ana Arnal brings live storytelling to local festivals, cultural programmes, book fairs and children’s events. Her original world, Los Verdegales, centres on five characters connected with water, fire, air, earth and togetherness. Their stories explore care for the natural world, community, local identity and bonds between generations.
Options include a theatrical storytelling session, a story followed by a creative family workshop, or a full Habilinatura family space. The storytelling session lasts 45 to 60 minutes. The workshop format adds hands-on crafts and a themed photo area; the full-day option also includes a tent, reading corner, games and creative activities. The artist provides the materials for the stories and workshops.
The stories are performed live, with character acting and audience interaction. Sessions are available in Spanish, Valencian, or a combination of both. The repertoire includes “Chispa y el fuego que comparte”, “Brisot, el viajero del viento”, “Terrandia y las raíces del pueblo” and “Unnia: cuando todo se une”. Each lasts 30 minutes and focuses on different themes.
This format suits family celebrations, local festivities, book fairs, cultural events and intergenerational gatherings. A storytelling session is recommended for up to 80 children or families. Allow a 4 × 4 metre performance area, or 6 × 6 metres for the tent. Outdoor events need shelter from sun or rain. A wireless microphone can be provided when needed; larger venues are advised to supply PA equipment with an XLR connection.
