Vasilina Kulova presents a comic ballet take on Swan Lake, combining drag performance, theatrical staging and humour.
Vasilina Kulova leads a humorous drag show that reimagines Swan Lake as a tragicomic ballet. The performance draws on the story of Princess Odette, transformed into a swan by a sorcerer’s spell, and gives it a comic theatrical treatment.
The show is presented as a ballet in four acts. Vasilina, a drag performer, takes centre stage with her tragicomic ballet troupe. The production comes with its own props, set design, lighting and sound equipment. Its style brings the world of Russian ballet into a humorous drag performance.
The show is called Swan Lake. Its four-act structure follows a recognisable story and suits audiences looking for comedy with a ballet element. It can be included in party and event programmes where a theatrical drag act is a good fit.
