An acoustic voice-and-guitar duo playing soul, blues, jazz, pop and rock for weddings, parties and events.
Tina & Joe are an acoustic duo featuring Tina Masawi on vocals and José Azul on guitar. Their compact set-up makes live music possible without a large production. They provide their own sound system for events of up to 300 people and need a power socket and at least four square metres of clear space.
Their repertoire spans soul, blues, jazz, pop and rock, bringing songs from different eras into the duo’s own sound. The set can include Amy Winehouse’s Back to Black and Valerie, Adele’s Someone Like You and Queen’s Under Pressure. On some occasions, they also perform original compositions, particularly for festivals and television.
Since forming in 2016, Tina & Joe have played more than 500 concerts and appeared at over 40 festivals. Their experience includes venues in Barcelona and private brand events. Tina Masawi has worked as a musical theatre performer and singer, while José Azul has worked as a session musician and musical theatre guitarist.
This live format suits weddings, parties, corporate events and private celebrations looking for music without a large stage set-up. A mix of familiar classics and more recent songs can provide a fitting atmosphere for different parts of the occasion.
