Electric blues rock, rock ’n’ roll and southern rock, played as distinctive covers by a four-piece band.
The Generation are a Barcelona band with extensive experience on stages across Spain. Their live sound is rooted in electric blues rock, with touches of rock ’n’ roll and southern rock. The musicians bring their different backgrounds together in personal, high-energy takes on classic songs, with a strong rapport on stage.
The line-up features Albert Ferrés on vocals and guitar, Gustavo Gomez on vocals and bass, Josep Herrero on guitar and Manu Cañadas on drums. The performance centres on the interplay between the guitars, rhythm section and vocals, with moments of connection with the audience throughout the set.
Their repertoire revisits well-known songs from across the years. Influences include B.B. King, Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jeff Healey, the Allman Brothers and Lynyrd Skynyrd. It’s a strong choice for anyone looking for a rock band with blues roots and a direct, guitar-led sound.
The Generation can suit weddings, local festivals, corporate functions and private celebrations seeking live blues rock classics. For outdoor performances, they need a stage or platform in the shade and 220 V power at both the front and back of the stage. The PA system must provide at least 1,500 W outdoors or 500 W indoors, with a mixing desk and adequate lighting. The band can supply this equipment as an optional extra.
