A seven-piece soul band with three singers and more than two hours of live covers to get the crowd singing and dancing.
The Black List are a seven-piece soul band featuring three singers, keyboards, electric guitar, bass and drums. Their live set runs for more than two hours, bringing together a full band and vocal line-up in a lively format made for singing and dancing. The musicians wear black with red details for a coordinated stage look.
The set mixes familiar covers with less expected choices, varying the performers and rhythms while staying rooted in soul. Their influences include Aretha Franklin, James Brown, Tina Turner, Joe Cocker and The Blues Brothers.
The band brings its instruments and amplification, as well as sound equipment suited to small and medium-sized venues, including a mixing desk, microphones, PA speakers and monitors. They can also handle their own soundcheck. Several 220 V power sockets are helpful for the setup.
The Black List can bring live soul to weddings, town festivals, private celebrations and corporate events looking for an extended, danceable set. Their in-house sound setup is intended for pubs, smaller music rooms and medium-sized spaces.
