A dance company blending flamenco and folk traditions with other dance styles, theatre and comedy.
We are a booking agency for events, not the artist's team. We work with organisers: festivals, councils, companies, venues and weddings.
Founded in 2005, Tamashi Danza is a company rooted in flamenco and popular folk traditions. Its work also explores other forms of movement and performance, including contemporary and classical dance, jazz, Afro dance and musical theatre. The company aims to share the breadth of dance with audiences through its stage productions.
Coplas pays tribute to six leading Spanish copla singers: Concha Piquer, Lola Flores, Juana Reina, Marifé de Triana, Rocío Jurado and Isabel Pantoja. A comically absent-minded stage manager leads the audience through the singers’ lives and shows, in a production combining music, theatre, dance and humour.
Tuyo Chopin, created with Interferencia for the bicentenary of Frédéric Chopin, is a choreographic piece inspired by the composer’s music. Glass, piano and movement shape its lyrical, melancholic mood.
With its range of disciplines and productions, Tamashi Danza can suit events seeking a choreographic performance connected with flamenco, folk traditions, music or theatre.
