Stevie Zee and The Hendrix Experience bring Jimi Hendrix’s music to the stage with guitar and vocals, bass and drums. Led by London-born British musician Stevie Zee, the band moves from familiar songs to more psychedelic material, with close attention to the sound, clothing and stage presentation associated with Hendrix’s era.
The performance aims to capture the spirit and sound of Hendrix through live music and period-inspired styling. The line-up is Stevie Zee (guitar and vocals), Mario de la Calle (bass) and Carlos Badanelli (drums).
The set can include “Hey Joe”, “Purple Haze”, “Foxy Lady”, “Little Wing”, “Red House” and “The Wind Cries Mary”, alongside other Hendrix songs. Stevie Zee’s career includes appearances at international festivals such as the Oakland Festival and The Great British R&B, as well as shared bills with artists including Johnny Winter, John Mayall and Pino Palladino. Musicians who have contributed to this project include Gorka Alegre, José Martos, Leo Jiménez and Manuel Ibáñez.
