Somos del Sur brings together two female and two male voices: Francisco Javier González, Álvaro Castillo, Lidabeth Romero and Noelia Romero. The four performers met as contestants on Canal Sur’s programme Yo soy del Sur and share a live set rooted in Andalusian music.
Sevillanas are at the heart of the repertoire, alongside rumba and songs with Latin and urban influences. Their songs include «Las cosas pequeñitas», «Te regalo la Luna» and «Prohibido pasar sin detenerse». The group has released the albums Sin Etiquetas and Doble Sentido.
The four-part vocal format suits fairgrounds and party stages. Somos del Sur have performed in Andalusia and elsewhere in Spain, as well as Portugal, France and Latin America. In 2023, they appeared at Quito’s Feria de Abril.
