Oriental dance shaped by over 15 years’ experience, with stage props and fusions drawing on ballet, flamenco, tango and samba.
Shirin Oriental Art presents an oriental dance show led by Shirin, an international performer and teacher with more than 15 years’ experience. Her classical ballet training brings elegance and polish to a performance built around technique, sensitivity and a strong stage presence.
The performance may feature Isis wings, silk fans, a veil, a sword, a cane or a candelabrum. Percussion, baladi and melaya can also shape the show. Movement, props and colour create scope for a varied visual performance.
The artistic approach brings oriental dance together with ballet, flamenco, tango and samba. Shirin has trained with leading figures in the art form and performs at festivals, events and celebrations, where her work is known for its technique and expressive quality.
The show can feature at weddings, parties, private celebrations and corporate events that call for live dance. Its use of props and different dance influences allows the visual character of the performance to suit the occasion.
