Sherezade Aguilar performs oriental dance with percussion, floorwork and classical elegance, as a soloist or with her dance company.
Sherezade Aguilar is an oriental dancer, teacher and choreographer with 16 years of professional experience. Her performances bring together powerful movement and the poise of classical dance. She can appear as a soloist or with dancers from the CIA Sherezade, whose members have trained at her school and gained experience both within and beyond it.
The show can feature percussion and drum solos, floorwork, contortion, group dancing and improvisation. It is usually arranged in sets of three songs, combining classical elements with other parts of the performance. The format can be adapted to the venue, although the dancers need enough room to move.
Alongside oriental dance, Sherezade practises Polynesian dance and explores fusions with samba, modern dance, burlesque and tribal styles. Her training also includes classical ballet. She has performed outside Spain and at private events, and has worked in England. Her distinctions include two first-place awards in the professional category, as well as second- and third-place awards in Spain as a soloist and with a group.
Her oriental dance can add a live performance to weddings, private celebrations, corporate events and fiestas. Depending on the chosen format, the booking can feature a solo dancer or a group performance.
