Street theatre, music and dance on the move, including Brazilian batucada and themed parades for festivals and markets.
Saltinpunqui Espectáculos is a Huelva company specialising in street theatre, music and dance. Its roaming performances suit processions, carnival, festivals, fairs and events across Spain. For medieval and themed markets, different art forms can come together in an entertainment programme with music, dance, characters and parades.
The programme includes Brazilian batucada with percussion and samba dancers, as well as parades featuring bagpipers, characters, giant carnival figures, inflatable bears, lighting and Venetian masks. Children’s entertainment can include Disney characters and songs for young audiences. Halloween themes may feature monsters, witches, demons and skeletons.
Depending on the format, music is played live without amplification or through speakers. The company brings the equipment required for its roaming performances. A changing room is needed for the artists.
The offer combines Brazilian percussion and samba with Arabic music, including Andalusian, Egyptian and Maghrebi selections. Traditional and children’s repertoires are also available. The street theatre uses characters and scenes designed for outdoor spaces.
Founded in 2004, the company has more than 20 years’ experience producing parades with music, dance and theatre. Its musical and dance formats bring together performers such as percussionists, dancers, bagpipers and actors.
Saltinpunqui is suited to local festivals, processions, carnival, fairs, medieval markets and themed events. The company also offers children’s parades and Halloween entertainment for outdoor celebrations.
