Saint Michel performs instrumental electric guitar, combining improvisation with a rock-rooted, symphonic sound.
Saint Michel offers a solo electric guitar performance with a concert feel and room for improvisation. The format is built around a live rehearsal, with variations and jam-session passages based on a symphonic rock piece. Depending on how the session unfolds, it can last from 30 minutes to an hour.
The music pairs an acoustic-leaning tone with a rock base and symphonic touches. Its influences include Santana, Hendrix and Pink Floyd, as well as southern rock, Triana, bossa nova, Californian acoustic music and a Mediterranean flavour. «Sinfonietta Fantástica» is listed as a repertoire piece.
The spatial guitar sound and instrumental format are intended to create an atmosphere for listening and relaxation. As improvisation is part of the performance, pauses and repeated passages may occur during the session.
Saint Michel can suit private events, cultural gatherings and programmes looking for live instrumental music in a solo format. The performance works best in a setting where the guitar can take centre stage.
