ROMANES brings Ramones-style rock to the stage in Spanish, mixing cover versions with Spanish sixties hits and original songs.
Based in Barcelona, ROMANES performs Ramones-inspired rock with Spanish lyrics, making the songs accessible to audiences who want to follow every line. The five-piece line-up features Ivo Romane, Dani Lasala, Valera, Paco Adell and David Gutierrez.
The band brings its own identity to the sound. It does not copy Ramones’ stage clothes or poses; instead, it delivers a direct, forceful rock show shaped by that style.
The set includes Spanish adaptations of Ramones songs alongside Spanish rock classics from the sixties, including material by Los Sirex, Los Brincos and Los Salvajes, reworked in the band’s style. ROMANES has released two albums of Ramones covers in Spanish, which have received more than 25,000 downloads. Its own songs were recorded for an album released by Rock de Kasba in 2013.
ROMANES suits events looking for an energetic rock performance, including town festivals and private celebrations. The show has a detailed sound and monitoring rider, so production arrangements should be discussed when planning the booking. Equipment hire and sound engineering can also be arranged, alongside accommodation if needed, meals and travel expenses.
