Residente blends alternative rap, hip-hop, reggaeton and ska with socially engaged lyrics, building on his years with Calle 13.
We are a booking agency for events, not the artist's team. We work with organisers: festivals, councils, companies, venues and weddings.
Residente, the stage name of René Pérez, began his music career with Calle 13 alongside Eduardo Cabra, known as Visitante. His solo work carries forward the group’s mix of alternative rap, hip-hop, reggaeton and ska, as well as its socially engaged lyrics.
His catalogue spans songs associated with Calle 13 and material released as a solo artist. Recognisable titles include «¡Atrévete te, te!», «No hay nadie como tú», «Muerte en Hawaii», «La vuelta al mundo» and «Latinoamérica». «Somos anormales» belongs to his solo period. Calle 13’s debut album sold more than 350,000 copies, and the group’s career included collaborations with Gustavo Santaolalla, La Mala Rodríguez and Bajofondo Tango Club.
The blend of urban genres, ska and socially focused writing offers a set for audiences interested in Latin rap and songs with a critical edge. The final choice of songs depends on the show format.
Residente may suit festivals and music events looking for an urban sound with a strong identity. You can also enquire about booking him for a party or corporate event, subject to the event brief and available format.
