Raw Cover is a female vocal and acoustic guitar duo playing classic and current pop and rock covers.
Raw Cover features singer Nieves Sosa and guitarist Jesús Fernández. Formed in 2010, the duo reworks familiar songs with female vocals and guitar, focusing on each song’s melody and lyrics. The format can suit terraces, venues and celebrations looking for live music in a relaxed, polished setting.
Jesús Fernández brings more than 20 years of musical experience to the guitar arrangements, while Nieves Sosa performs the vocals. The duo supplies its own sound equipment. They require a small performance area of just over two square metres, raised 15 to 30 centimetres, and an earthed power socket.
The repertoire ranges from classic to current pop and rock, including songs associated with Adele, Amy Winehouse, Christina Aguilera, Beyoncé, Evanescence, Queen, Amaral, Duffy, AC/DC, Guns N’ Roses and Jessie J.
