Close-up and stage magic featuring comedy, Chinese shadow puppetry, music, mind reading and audience participation.
Rafa Píccola is a professional magician with more than 18 years’ experience performing in theatres, on television and at corporate events. His shows pair illusion with comedy and warm audience interaction. He has won two world magic awards and studied with Juan Tamariz, among other teachers.
His work ranges from close-up magic with cards and small objects to stage performances. On stage, he presents humorous, tongue-in-cheek mentalism alongside visual magic, predictions, musical magic, mind reading and Chinese shadow puppetry. For businesses, he can tailor effects and shadow play to a product, service or corporate message. He can also present events, deliver motivational talks or run magic courses.
Comedy is central to his acts, alongside audience involvement and moments of surprise. His close-up work uses cards and everyday objects, while his stage format explores effects based on the workings of the mind. He can also perform corporate magic in English.
His experience suits weddings, private celebrations, theatres and company events. At a party or gathering, participative magic entertains guests; for a business event, the content can be shaped around the message you wish to communicate. His corporate clients have included Abbott, J.P. Morgan, BBVA, Deloitte & Touche and Fiat.
