Elegant, retro-leaning jazz led by Rebecca De Orleáns, available as a full band, smaller line-up or with a DJ.
Puro Vintage Jazz brings a refined, retro-tinged jazz sound, led by Rebecca De Orleáns. The act can perform as a full band, in a smaller line-up, or pair live music with a DJ service. Rebecca has more than 20 years of artistic experience and began her musical career at 17. After spending time in Ibiza and Barcelona, she established her own jazz format in Valladolid.
The music pairs classic sounds with a fresh touch. The band provides a sound engineer and equipment, along with a road manager. The technical set-up includes a suitable stage, sound system, mixing desk, cabling and microphones; lighting can be added if needed. DJ sets are available in the same style or across other genres.
The repertoire brings together jazz standards, touches of soul and cabaret, plus some bossa nova. Examples include “Blue Moon”, “Summertime”, “Autumn Leaves”, “The Girl from Ipanema” and “Why Don’t You Do Right?”. Influences range from the jazz traditions of New Orleans to singers Billie Holiday, Etta James, Julie London and Nina Simone, as well as performers such as Doris Day.
The polished style and choice of formats can suit weddings, private celebrations and corporate events looking for live music with a sophisticated feel. A DJ set can extend the entertainment with music in the same vein or a different style.
