An acoustic soul and rhythm and blues duo with vocals, guitar, loops, beatboxing and scat, spanning classic and contemporary artists.
Pepper And Soul are an acoustic covers duo for audiences after live soul and rhythm and blues. Chloe Ly sings, while José Miguel Vázquez, known as Jómiv, sings and plays guitar. Jómiv builds loops, beatboxing and scat into the arrangements, giving the songs their backing.
Voice, guitar and live-built arrangements let the pair move across different eras as a two-piece. The show is suitable for all ages and offers an individual take on familiar songs.
The selection draws on soul and rhythm and blues, alongside pop and popular music from several decades. Artists covered include Etta James, Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Jackson 5, Prince, Whitney Houston, Sade, Madonna, Lenny Kravitz, Amy Winehouse, Beyoncé, Pink, Pharrell Williams and Sam Smith.
Pepper And Soul can fit weddings, parties, private celebrations and corporate events looking for acoustic music with soul and rhythm and blues influences. The repertoire brings classic and contemporary names together in one format.
