A Galician company bringing clowning, circus, magic, theatre and puppetry to children and families.
Payaso Piruleta&Cía creates stage shows for children and families. Founded in 2003 by Roberto Vázquez, a performer, early-years educator and theatre director, the company brings performing arts together with entertainment designed around young audiences.
Its productions may combine clowning, circus, magic, theatre, film, music and puppetry. The format and technical requirements are agreed for each show. The company needs a power socket and supplies the rest of the equipment.
The team includes Roberto Vázquez, clown and director, and Javi Mandango, magician and production lead. Its work to date spans more than fifty stage productions, along with two short films, a documentary, an audiobook and the illustrated book «El Anónimo». The company also performs on theatre circuits in Galicia and has appeared at local councils, schools, educational farms, hotels, play centres and shopping centres.
With several art forms in one programme, the company can suit children’s parties, family celebrations, school activities and cultural events. Payaso Piruleta&Cía has performed across Spain and is part of professional theatre circuits run by the Xunta de Galicia.
