Traditional stick dancing from Tabanera del Monte, performed by eight dancers to dulzaina and seven songs passed down through generations.
Paloteo de Tabanera del Monte brings together eight dancers and dulzaina accompaniment in a traditional stick dance. The performance follows seven songs that have been handed down through generations in the village.
The sharp sound of the sticks and the dancers’ close coordination shape the show. Strong, forceful strikes are a defining feature, giving this regional dance a striking presence for audiences of all ages.
The performance draws on seven traditional pieces from Tabanera del Monte, accompanied by dulzaina. Its folk dance format suits events looking to include a live presentation of regional culture.
Consider it for local festivals, cultural programmes and family gatherings. Dance, live music and the percussive rhythm of the sticks make it a visual, engaging choice for a varied audience.
