An independent orchestra offering symphonic concerts, chamber ensembles and music ranging from zarzuela to rock.
Orquesta Sinfónica Iuventas offers a classical music programme in formats suited to different venues. It began over 30 years ago as a small chamber orchestra and grew under the guidance of its founder and principal conductor, Rubén Fernández, into a symphony orchestra. The musicians run the independent ensemble themselves, and it continues to present a regular concert programme.
The orchestra performs symphonic concerts, and can also appear in smaller line-ups: string quartets or quintets, as well as chamber groups. This makes it possible to plan either a full orchestral performance or a more intimate set, depending on the event and space.
The ensemble’s musical work spans a range of styles, from zarzuela to rock, and includes film soundtracks. It has also taken part in charity projects for various NGOs.
The orchestra can be considered for concerts, cultural occasions, corporate events, weddings and private celebrations. Chamber groups can suit smaller venues or a particular part of an event, while the symphonic format lends itself to a larger concert. The venue should provide a room for instruments, a dressing room and water for the musicians.
