Optimismarte presents “Mañana”, a musical theatre show for two performers combining songs, acting, monologues, video and dance.
Optimismarte is a theatre company exploring the philosophy of optimism through musical theatre. Its first production, “Mañana”, follows two characters: a woman who feels unhappy with her life and Señor Mañana, a fictional figure who gradually introduces her to a more optimistic outlook. The story is designed to prompt recognition and reflection among the audience.
Two performers bring the piece to life through singing, acting, monologues, video projections and dance. The staging is simple, with two wooden benches and an oversized book. The running time is around 90 minutes. It is suitable for all audiences, with a recommended age of 14 and over. Optimismarte supplies sound equipment, monitors and wireless headset microphones.
The show blends theatre and music, featuring original songs alongside adaptations. Its song list includes “Mañana”, “No soy quien soñé”, “Confía” and “Ritmo Positivo”, as well as versions of “Meraviglioso” and “Resistiré”. The production uses this narrative and musical mix to introduce optimistic philosophy through relatable situations.
“Mañana” can be considered for theatre programmes, cultural seasons, festivals and events looking for a musical performance with reflective themes. Its two-character cast and pared-back staging keep the focus on the writing, performances and songs.
