Nuyum Haras performs oriental dance as a soloist or group, with classical, folkloric and flamenco fusion styles.
Nuyum Haras is a dance group of four performers from Dos Hermanas, Seville: Almudena Lobo, Miriam Sigüenza, Patricia Ramírez and Marisa Quiros. Their friendship and shared wish to dance together again led to the project in 2022. The name means “guiding star”, and the group’s motto is “Dance and shine”.
The show can be tailored to the occasion, with a solo dancer or a group of performers. It is offered for hotels, restaurants, weddings and parties. Speakers are listed among the technical requirements.
The repertoire ranges from classical oriental dance and Arabic folklore to flamenco-oriental fusion. Other pieces feature Isis wings, a veil or double veil, a sword, a shamadan candle dance, solo percussion and silk fans. The dancers studied for twelve years with the Moroccan teacher Ilham and currently develop their technique with Helena Rull.
Oriental dance can add a distinctive stage element to weddings, parties, hotels and restaurants. The choice of solo or group format, along with repertoire elements, helps shape the performance around the event.
