Nitrofoska turns an electronic performance into a galactic election campaign, with original songs, monologues, projections and audience participation.
Nitrofoska presents ANDROIDE, a stage show combining electronic music, performance art and theatre. A fully costumed android runs for election on Earth and delivers an outlandish campaign manifesto with a satirical edge. The piece takes aim at politics, elections and the idea of public participation through irony and humour.
Max Nitrofoska sings original songs and recites the manifesto over electronic backing tracks of his own composition, played from a laptop. The concert comprises ten songs and/or monologues. Space-themed projections, ambient planetary sounds and campaign slogans help create the setting. Audience members who wish to take part can cast a vote during the show.
The blend of music and theatre can suit venues, festivals and cultural or private events looking for a performance with humour and sociopolitical commentary. The android's fictional campaign gives the show its structure and sets it apart from a conventional concert.
Max began by writing lyrics and singing. He formed part of Mala Fama, recording two LPs produced by Oihuka and playing more than 200 concerts in Spain. In 2009 he formed 747 Artista Oficial in Madrid.
