Acoustic musical theatre for all ages, pairing Spanish-language poetry with live piano, guitar and vocals.
Moraleja de la Candileja is a musical theatre company for audiences of all ages, with a particular focus on younger people. Its original productions use text and music to introduce poetry by major Spanish-language writers to a wider audience.
Voice, piano and guitar are performed live in an acoustic setting. Each song sets a poem to music, bringing the writing and musical performance together on stage. The format offers a way to encounter poetry through theatre and live song.
Gloria y los más fuertes and Lorqueando ando are original works by the company.
Canta, pájaro lejano is associated with Juan Ramón Jiménez.
Rodolfo el reno is the company’s Christmas special.
The show can suit cultural programmes, school activities and family events looking for a performance for a mixed-age audience. The Christmas production may also fit seasonal programmes.
