Merche Amado is a classically trained dancer and teacher who specialises in oriental dance. She began dancing at the age of four and has more than twelve years’ experience in this style. Her training includes tuition from international masters and professional training with Claudia Cenci.
The show can draw on classical oriental dance, percussion, Saidi and Khaleeji styles. Depending on the format, Merche may use a veil, cane, candelabrum, silk fans, finger cymbals or candles. She also creates choreography for parades and medieval-themed entertainment.
