A nine-piece mariachi with folk dancing and a ranchera show drawing on music from four Mexican regions.
We are a booking agency for events, not the artist's team. We work with organisers: festivals, councils, companies, venues and weddings.
Mariachi Imperial brings live Mexican music together with folk dance and costume changes. The nine musicians include seven singers, including a female vocalist, and are led by Tomás Pitayo, whose experience includes working with Rocío Dúrcal.
The ensemble features guitar, vihuela, guitarrón, two trumpets, three violins, harp and accordion. A dance pair joins the performance, representing four areas of Mexican folklore: Veracruz, Nayarit, Nuevo León and Jalisco. The show also features costume changes and a performer who demonstrates rope tricks with a reata. Its character is both ranchera and theatrical.
The group performs traditional pieces from different Mexican regions. It can appear on a stage, in a café concert, as a street procession, or at a mass or celebration. Past engagements include fiestas in Bilbao, San Sebastián, Vitoria, Pamplona and Logroño, as well as television appearances on ETB.
The combination of mariachi vocals, dancing and visual detail suits weddings, town fiestas and other events looking for a Mexican folk performance.
