Family shows blend theatre, circus, clowning and storytelling for indoor venues and outdoor spaces.
Margarito & Cía is a professional company based in Burgos, founded and led by Angélica Gago Benito. Its work is aimed mainly at children and families, with performances for indoor venues and outdoor spaces. The company brings several performing arts together in carefully made shows shaped by humour and a commitment to culture.
The shows combine theatre, circus, clowning and storytelling. Oral storytelling for the stage is one of the company’s central interests, alongside circus skills and other performance techniques. These include aerial work on a fixed trapeze, hand balancing, juggling and floor acrobatics. Music, illusion, tap dance and movement also feature in the artist’s training.
The work brings these art forms together for family audiences, with humour at its heart. A performance may draw on storytelling, clowning and circus techniques, and can be presented indoors or outdoors. Fernando Martín Monreal is listed for sound and lighting. A 220V power socket is required.
Margarito & Cía can be considered for town festivals, cultural programmes, children’s events, private celebrations and corporate gatherings with mixed-age audiences. The choice of indoor or street performance makes it possible to consider different types of spaces. Include the venue and audience when you enquire.
