Máma Bora blends rumba and Latin American rhythms, with a dance-led live set or an instrumental event format.
We are a booking agency for events, not the artist's team. We work with organisers: festivals, councils, companies, venues and weddings.
Máma Bora is a band blending rumba with Latin American rhythms. It offers two distinct options: an upbeat live set for dancing, and an instrumental format suited to receptions or dining events. The music can take centre stage as a show or provide a considered backdrop for a corporate or food-focused gathering.
The original format features original songs, catchy choruses and a set that builds in energy. Rumba is at its heart, alongside reggae and Brazilian styles, with a clear focus on dancing. It can work well at evening celebrations, parties and weddings looking for live music to get the dance floor moving.
Máma Bora Jazz is instrumental, with no vocal interludes. Its styles include jazz, bossa nova and bolero, arranged to give guests room to talk while enjoying live music. This option suits receptions, corporate occasions and food events.
The line-up includes vocals, guitar, bass, drums, percussion and trumpet; some members also contribute backing vocals and dance. Influences include Ketama, El Kanka, Jorge Drexler, Los Rodríguez, Fabulosos Cadillacs and Manu Chao. Their sound brings together rumba and salsa with reggae and Brazilian music. The band has appeared on television and radio, played concerts and festivals in the city of Mercedes, and toured western Argentina.
