A variety show for all ages combining magic, comedy, music and audience participation.
With more than 12 years as a professional performer, Mago Josemi de Águeda brings together magic and comedy in a variety show for audiences of all ages. Audience involvement is part of the performance from the outset, giving children and adults a chance to take part.
The act features illusions with doves, levitation and musical numbers, alongside comic interaction. Lighting, sound and music support the performance. It has been presented in theatres, council venues, performance rooms, restaurants and private celebrations. The Madrid Theatre Network selected the show for tours in the 2014–15 and 2016–17 seasons, with performances at more than 30 theatres.
This is a variety performance rather than a conventional magic set, blending humour and audience participation for mixed-age audiences. His career also includes seasons at OFF de La Latina and Sala Tú, as well as the café theatre El Rincón de la Rodríguez, where he is described as performing “Con magia y a lo loco”.
The format can work for children’s or adults’ birthdays, weddings, communions, family and corporate events, and theatre or council programmes. The set-up needs at least 3 by 3 metres of space and a power supply. The team provides a stage, professional lighting and sound, with LED lights, lasers, smoke machines and microphones available.
