Jazz vocalist with a set spanning standards, bossa nova, funk and pop covers, available in line-ups from trio to sextet.
Lupe Azcano is a jazz vocalist who performs with line-ups ranging from a trio to a sextet. The ensemble can be chosen to suit the event and musical preferences, with musicians from Spain’s jazz scene.
Her set pairs jazz standards with fresh takes on classics by artists such as The Beatles, Stevie Wonder and Michael Jackson. It also draws on bossa nova, funk, pop and chill-out, making it suitable for different parts of a celebration or event.
Lupe has performed and worked on projects with jazz musicians including Ximo Tébar and Darryl Hall, as well as many other Spanish artists. She made her first record with Darryl Hall and joined a recording with the Sedajazz Big Band early in her career. Her own projects include Lupe Azcano & the Jazzy Beatle Band, a jazz tribute to The Beatles, and the EP The Summer’s Live Session.
The range of styles and ensemble sizes makes the performance a good fit for weddings, parties, corporate functions and private events, whether you are after a refined backdrop or a livelier set.
