Singer-songwriter Luis Manuel Ruiz performs an intimate guitar-and-vocal set of his own songs and compositions written for other artists.
Book Luis Manuel Ruiz for an intimate event
Luis Manuel Ruiz is a singer-songwriter and composer whose live set centres on voice and guitar. His acoustic performance brings together his own songs and pieces he has written for other artists, offering a close-up way to hear both sides of his work as a writer and performer.
A career in songwriting
Ruiz has written songs for Sergio Dalma, Bertín Osborne, Rosa López, Dyango, Antonio José and Kiko y Sara, among others. His work with Sergio Dalma began when Miguel Gallardo, producer of the album Nueva vida, included «No me digas que no»; the song became the album’s first single and featured in the soundtracks of several Latin American telenovelas. Ruiz has contributed as a songwriter to every Sergio Dalma album since then.
Style and set-up
The performance is built around guitar and vocals, with a repertoire spanning Ruiz’s own material and songs he has composed for other performers. It is an acoustic, intimate format that has received positive reviews.
Events that suit the performance
This set can work well at weddings, private celebrations and corporate events looking for live music in a relaxed setting. It also suits parties where a singer-songwriter performance is a better fit than a large-scale production. The technical requirements are a power socket, a bar-style stool and a small table.
