A Barcelona power trio reworks popular Spanish-language songs as energetic, punk-tinged rock covers.
Los Monos Voladores del Sr. Burns are a Barcelona power trio formed in 2017. Edu Avila sings and plays guitar, Adrián Renna is on bass, and Alexandre Pardo plays drums. Their live set gives well-known Spanish-language songs a lively rock treatment with a punk edge, creating a party atmosphere that invites the crowd to sing along.
Their repertoire draws on artists such as Raphael, Camilo Sesto and Nino Bravo, alongside Spanish pop and rock classics from the 1980s. Songs include «Mi gran noche», «Vivir así es morir de amor», «Un beso y una flor», «Marta tiene un marcapasos» and «Resistiré». The set also ranges across different eras and styles, from «La vida es un carnaval» to «Despacito».
The trio delivers a lively, direct sound. They can use either acoustic or electronic drums to suit the venue and give organisers more control over volume. The performance requires a 220 V power socket.
With recognisable Spanish-language covers and a rock feel, the band can suit local festivals, weddings, private parties and corporate events looking for live music.
