A playful swing show blending humour and dancing with gypsy jazz and traditional New Orleans sounds.
Los Caballeros de la Tabla de Lavar bring together swing, comedy and dancing in a lively show. The performance is designed for listening, joining in and having a laugh, with an easy-going feel that suits celebrations looking for more than a straightforward live music set.
The band draws on experience in comedy, vocal harmony, pop-rock and entertainment. These influences shape an original performance with cabaret touches and a nod to French variety shows from the first half of the twentieth century. Audiences are invited to get involved in the atmosphere.
Their sound ranges from Django Reinhardt-influenced gypsy jazz to New Orleans swing and traditional jazz, with chanson, cabaret and rock references too. Songs may include “La Vie En Rose”, “Minor Swing”, “Fly Me To The Moon”, “Mack The Knife” and “Sweet Georgia Brown”.
The act can suit town fiestas, festivals, weddings, private parties and corporate events where live music, humour and dancing are welcome. The band has performed at festivals and venues in several Spanish regions. Technical requirements include a 220 V power point and two armless chairs.
