A Janis Joplin tribute from four musicians, bringing the force of late-sixties rock and blues to the stage.
We are a booking agency for events, not the artist's team. We work with organisers: festivals, councils, companies, venues and weddings.
La Kozmic Band celebrates Janis Joplin, a defining voice in sixties rock and blues. Four musicians from Barcelona’s blues-rock scene came together in 2005 to revisit her musical legacy. Their live show recalls the intensity and free-spirited attitude of rock bands from the end of that decade.
The set features some of Janis Joplin’s best-known songs. Rock and blues sit at the heart of the performance, delivered with a raw, energetic feel that brings the music and spirit of the sixties to the stage.
The line-up features Violant Guañabens, Manel Ramis, Jordi “Baka” Fernandez and Txema Zapata. The band has played venues and festivals in Spain and abroad, including Woodstock Tribute Festival in Italy and blues events in Ourense, Reus and Cerdanyola.
This tribute can work well at town fiestas, festivals, music series, corporate events and private celebrations where rock and blues belong on the bill. It is also an option for couples looking for a tribute band at their wedding, with familiar songs and a distinctive live sound.
