La Jauría Teatro stages comic, interactive storytelling with a fantastical, participatory take on La reina de Turnedó.
La Jauría Teatro presents La reina de Turnedó, a stage show that begins with a familiar fairy-tale premise: a princess is threatened by a dragon. The story grows verse by verse, with each new section bringing in another character, situation or mood.
The performance turns the traditional tale into an «anti-fairy tale»: a story that seems impossible to tell and just as hard to stop. It unfolds in the dreamlike garden of the queen, with women at the heart of the storytelling and no simple division between heroes and villains. Gentle fantasy and ongoing audience involvement shape the show, while its comic tone aims to leave a warm impression.
Alongside La reina de Turnedó, the repertoire includes Cuentos de los Hermanos Grimm, Un mundo invisible, Antología del cuento cómico and Cuentos, secretos y otros inventos.
The interactive format suits community celebrations and events looking for comic, family-friendly theatre. Its fantastical storytelling offers a shared experience for audiences of different ages.
