Kalanda is the musical project of singer, songwriter and guitarist Blas Menchén. His live show draws on flamenco fusion and rumba, bringing together well-known songs and a lively, shared atmosphere. His musical path began with the guitar and songwriting, while his sound has also absorbed ideas from pop, rock, electronic music and indie.
Blas performs vocals and guitar alongside flamenco percussion, electric keyboard, electric bass and Latin percussion. Together, the musicians shape a set that moves between rumba rhythms and familiar songs. The technical setup includes sound equipment, microphones, guitar and bass amplification, wireless in-ear monitoring, and fixed and moving lights. A 220 V power connection is required.
The set features songs associated with Estopa, Fondo Flamenco and Los Delinqüentes, as well as artists including Camarón, El Barrio, Andy y Lucas, Ketama and C. Tangana. It also includes a rumba medley. The mix suits audiences who enjoy contemporary flamenco and popular Spanish music.
