A quartet of vibraphone, piano, double bass and percussion, playing jazz, Latin, swing, blues and original pieces.
Jazzapp is a jazz quartet featuring Rafael Navarro on vibraphone, Pau Viguer on piano, Pep Alcántara on double bass and Aaron Cristófol on percussion. The four-piece brings live instrumental music to celebrations and events in a range of formats.
The vibraphone gives the ensemble a distinctive tone, supported by piano, double bass and percussion. The group’s roots go back to Rafa, Pau and Pep playing Cuban son. Their interest in building a broader repertoire later led them to form Jazzapp, with Aaron Cristófol joining to complete the quartet.
The repertoire combines jazz, Latin music, swing and blues, with an emphasis on musical quality and the pleasure of performing. It also features original pieces composed by Rafa. The group’s musical journey began with Cuban son and has since expanded across these styles, with the vibraphone at the heart of its sound.
Jazzapp can suit weddings, parties, corporate functions and private events seeking an instrumental group playing jazz and related styles. The quartet brings melody, harmony and percussion together in a live setting.
