Valencian quartet playing instrumental jazz fusion, with covers of international artists and a set lasting around 90 minutes.
Jack Canon are a Valencian quartet performing instrumental jazz fusion live. The line-up brings together four experienced musicians: Javi Escamilla on bass, Dani Blanes on guitar, Sergio Saura on drums and Roger Espuig on keyboards. Formed in 2013, the group set out to reinterpret leading names in the genre.
The concert runs for around 90 minutes. The musicians take turns in the spotlight, shaping a varied set inspired by international jazz fusion from the 1970s, 80s and 90s.
The set includes music associated with Uzeb, Frank Gambale, Dave Weckl Band, Stevie Wonder, Alain Caron, Simon Phillips, Stanley Clarke and Chick Corea. Tracks include “Spain”, “School Days”, “Tutu” and “The Code”.
Jack Canon can bring a live jazz fusion concert to music programmes, celebrations and events looking for instrumental performance. The technical set-up requires a stage at least 5 × 4 metres and two standard 220 V power sockets.
