Irish y Carlos pair vocals, guitar, percussion and folk strings in a set spanning Iberian folk, English pop and modern songs.
Irish y Carlos are a musical duo featuring Iris Castañeda on vocals and percussion, and Carlos Sánchez on guitar and string instruments. Their live set moves between traditional songs and modern material, offering a varied option for celebrations that want live music in a compact format.
Iris’s singing and percussion sit alongside Carlos’s guitar and other string instruments, including the bouzouki and rabel. Carlos specialises in flamenco and also plays folk, while Iris sings folk as well as other styles. Together, they bring traditional and contemporary sounds into one duo performance.
The repertoire includes folk music from Spain and Portugal, English pop and modern song. This range allows the performance to move between roots music and more contemporary references.
