Huejazz plays jazz standards and ballads on piano, guitar and saxophone for weddings, receptions and other events.
Huejazz brings live jazz to wedding receptions, private celebrations, bars and restaurants. Guitarist Aurelio Santana Martel and Francisco Armenteros on saxophones and piano shape an intimate sound, with melodies and harmonies suited to occasions where guests can enjoy the music while they talk.
The duo combines guitar, piano and alto and tenor saxophones. Pre-recorded bass and drum arrangements can provide the backing. The act has its own 500-watt sound system and lighting; a nearby power socket is needed.
The repertoire includes standards and ballads such as “Summertime”, “Sunny”, “Take Five”, “Autumn Leaves”, “Harlem Nocturne” and “Equinox”. Its influences include Wes Montgomery, John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Charlie Parker and Paul Desmond.
Huejazz is a natural fit for wedding drinks receptions and other events looking for live jazz with an elegant, understated feel. The format is also offered for bars and restaurants.
