Hora Zulú are an alternative metal band formed in Granada in 2000. Their sound draws on heavy metal and hip hop, delivered by guitar, vocals, drums and bass. They suit festivals and live music programmes looking for a forceful rock set with a distinct metal identity.
The line-up features Paco Luque on guitar, Aitor Velázquez on vocals, Javi Cordovilla on drums and Álex Bedmar on bass. Members have also been involved with bands including Lagartija Nick, Sin Perdón, Lakademia and Perpetual. The set can draw on songs from across the group's catalogue, including «Andaluz de Nacimiento», «Camarada» and «Toma y obliga».
Alternative metal sits at the heart of Hora Zulú's style, with heavy and hip hop influences. Other songs in the repertoire include «Mis barraqueras», «Con las trenzas de tu pelo», «Que me mata» and «En tu nada». The band released five albums between 2002 and 2012.
