Hiurma performs belly dance with colourful costumes, stage props and fusions with other dance styles.
Hiurma brings belly dance to weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, retirement celebrations and corporate events. Her performances play with movement, colour and visual detail, and she also provides entertainment for hotels and cruise ships. The format is suited to audiences of different ages and backgrounds.
Costumes are chosen to suit each performance, with props such as a candelabrum, Isis wings, veils, swords, silk fans and a cane. Hiurma engages with guests to keep the show friendly and enjoyable, sometimes inviting people to join in and learn a few dance steps.
Alongside oriental dance, the show can include fusions with bolero and lyrical dance. Hiurma has trained in dance since 2006 and has taught since 2008, graduating from a professional dancer training programme in 2019. Her performance work includes Bellylusion Oriental Dance, Saphir and the Ashira dance company, as well as events and festivals in Spain and abroad.
The repertoire can draw on drum solo, Arabic rhythms, classic oriental dance and romantic pop. The venue should provide a suitable floor for dancing barefoot, room for the props, a changing area, audio with a USB drive or mobile connection, and subdued lighting.
