A choir of over 100 members, with a gospel repertoire and flexible group sizes for weddings and events.
Gospel Barcelona is a choir with more than 100 members. Around 60 singers usually perform at concerts, though the group can appear in different sizes. It was founded by its director, Josep Domènech de Mena, with the aim of building a large choir with a growing professional focus.
The choir can perform in different line-ups and does not require musical equipment. It has an extensive gospel repertoire and generally works from an established programme; a special song can also be included when needed for an event.
Alongside gospel, the repertoire includes songs from other styles. Titles include “Happy Day”, “Worthy Is the Lamb”, “Joshua Fit the Battle of Jericho”, “My God Is Awesome”, “La vida es un carnaval” and “Salve Rociera”.
Gospel Barcelona has performed at weddings, christenings, funerals, street parades, private events and charity concerts, and has appeared on television. The choir can bring live music to family celebrations, school events and other occasions. It has also sung at venues including Tibidabo and Santa Maria del Mar.
